Arena

What is Arena?

The Arena is a cluster-wide event that takes place on our events server, Astral ARK. It is located on the western side of the island.

You will enter the Arena alongside your creature companion and other players to fight your way through different waves of spawned creatures and monsters. The further you get, the greater the challenge, and greater the reward!

The event is open to all players of any level, so it doesn’t matter if you’re a veteran or if you just joined Astral ARK. All you need to bring is the items you wish to use during the event, and a creature companion or two if you have them. If you don’t, we can loan creatures except for Bracket 4. You have to bring a creature in order to compete as it will be hard to contribute evenly without one.

Both admin and community run events take a lot of time and effort. We expect everyone to respect players taking part in such events. Using these organised gatherings as an opportunity to engage in PVP is not permitted.

How does it work?

■ Arrive at Arena at least 15 minutes before it is due to start, allowing yourself enough time to store your spare creature in the staging area and to ensure you are fully prepared for the event.

■ Once ready, players can enter the Arena itself and head to the green starting platform and await the start of the event.

■ At 7PM UK time, once players confirm they are ready, the first wave will be spawned at the red platform.

■ Admins will confirm the round can start, at which point players can then leave the green platform and start the fight.

■ Once the round is completed, players should either head back to the green platform and get ready for the next round, or ask to leave the Arena if they wish to drop out.

■ You have 1 minute between each round as standard. You also have a single 5 minute break you can ask for at any point during the bracket.

■ After the break, the next round will start. It will continue in this manner until all rounds of the bracket have been completed.

■ Once the bracket is completed, players will be asked to gather at one of the coloured platforms where the prizes will be given out.

What can I win?

Loot crates:

Each player will get 4 Astral crates for each bracket completed.

Shop points:

Each player will receive points as follows:

Bracket 1 completed: 80 shop points
Bracket 2 completed: 120 shop points
Bracket 3 completed: 170 shop points
Bracket 4 completed: 230 shop points

You can spend these points in our shop to buy packs, items or creatures.

If you have only completed half of a bracket, you will get half of the points but no loot crates for that bracket.

Rules

General

Be on time for the event so you do not keep people waiting.

Once a round has started, only players who die in Arena will be allowed to re-enter by using the jump pads on each side of the main Arena gate.

Do not steal other players’ inventory, you will be banned from participating should this happen.

You need to bring a creature in order to compete as it will be hard to contribute evenly without one.

Everyone must contribute, staying out of harms way and letting your team mates carry you is not allowed.

You are not allowed to use the Arena structures to avoid being attacked.

Remember you’re all in this together, so working as a team will make your life much easier.

You can always drop out at any time during the event but you will not receive rewards for the brackets you have not completed.

We will not refund or return any items or creatures that are lost during the event.

We will stop a round if the majority of players still fighting ask for it or if all tames are dead.

All spectators must remain at the viewing platform during the event to avoid aggro and interference.

FAQ

Can I come and watch?

Yes of course, anyone may come and watch Arena. However please make sure you stay on the viewing platform provided to avoid accidentally interfering with Arena by drawing aggro.

What creatures can I bring?

Only creatures on the above “allowed” lists can be brought to Arena. However we are always open to suggestions, so feel free to ask if you think a specific creature would work in a bracket.

What happens if me or my creatures die during Arena?

If you die, you can re-enter by using the jump pads on each side of the main Arena gate to get your corpse and continue the event. You cannot however bring in your spare creature until the round has finished.

When do we get the prizes?

The standard loot prizes will be given out at one of the coloured platforms at the end of each bracket. The shop points will be given out to each player after the event is over.

I don’t have any creature, can I participate?

Yes. We can loan creatures for Bracket 1 to Bracket 3. If you use them at any point during Arena, you won’t get shop points but you will still get the standard loot prizes at the end of each bracket.

Those creatures have to be returned in the Loan creatures area after Arena. There is no need to unclaim them.

I have creatures that I don’t use anymore, can I donate them to Arena?

If you don’t use some of your creatures anymore, you can leave them in the Donations area and admins will claim them for new participants to use. Do not unclaim them. We would recommend spaying or neutering them, but it is not mandatory.

Do not leave your personal dinos in there as they will be claimed by admins.
