Hi everyone,
We hope you are all doing well despite the various restrictions and confinement measures in place in different countries caused by the coronavirus pandemic. This situation affects everyone across the globe, businesses and individuals alike, and Astral Imperium is no exception. While the majority of us are or will be confined to our homes, there are those of you working in critical areas such as healthcare, education and public safety to name a few, who in some cases are doing even longer hours to keep up with demand. So to make their lives a little easier in these difficult times, we have decided the following:
- Tames food consumption will be greatly decreased to avoid them starving (from 0.5 to 0.1)
- Body caches will take twice as long before they despawn (from 30 min to 1 hour)
- ORP timer before expiration will be increased (from 20 to 60 days of inactivity)
- Shop points will be discounted in our online store, and so will creatures in the in-game shop. The shop page will be updated shortly to reflect the changes
- Auto-destruction of structures will be halted for now. The 2 build locations limit is still in place and enforced, so keep this in mind when placing any structures down, now more than ever
- Restarts will happen daily at the usual times to help ensure that the server stability is at its best, especially with the internet contention issues in certain areas
- We are looking to invest in some additional connectivity options for the servers
These measures are temporary and will be reviewed as the situation evolves. You can expect the server changes to take place from next restart.
